Gorge Scrambling

This is an activity that can be undertaken purely for fun and enjoyment, or can be made to consider a number of teamwork issues. It involves climbing up and/or down steep stream beds, over rocks, under waterfalls and through narrow canyons.

The actual route up a given gorge can be varied to take into account the group's ability, and it can be a wet or dry activity depending on the group's objectives. Sometimes ropes and harnesses can be used, with a harder route option chosen, while in other cases we may wear full wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets and slide down the waterfalls into deep pools below.
