Plas Gwynant has a number of facilities which help to make our groups' visits that much easier. Firstly, our drying room is perfect to allow students to wear dry clothing each day, with plenty of racking space and an efficient de-humidifier. We have a dedicated classroom, where most courses meet each morning, and is available for lectures, theory sessions and private study. Our games room has table tennis, 2 pool tables and a table football machine. There is also a stereo which you can plug your mp3 player into or play cds in. This is the ideal place for students to relax in the evening, socialising with friends or beating their teachers at pool! We also have a school shop, which is well stocked with snacks and drinks, as well as other souvenir items.
Courses at Plas Gwynant are in the main full board, and there is a wide variety of menus provided depending on the age of the group visiting. There is a good sized dining room, and counter service for breakfast and dinner. Students are given materials after breakfast to make their own packed lunch, so that they can have a filling of their choice. Tea or juice and cakes are provided for students immediately after their day of activity, and the same is true for visiting staff.
Plas Gwynant is set within several acres of both woodland and fields, with a river running through the grounds and plenty of space for games and activities. It is an idyllic, Grade 2 Listed setting, and the grounds staff work hard to keep it that way.
